The former Pokemon art director released a new creative action game called The Plucky Squire

Devolver Digital shared an absurd presentation titled The Devolver Digital Marketing and Marketing Contest. This video is part the Summer Game Fest 2022. Devolver showed a few games the studio would be producing during the presentation. Anger Foot and Cult of the Lamb are just a few of the games that have been announced. There is also a whimsical adventure game called The Pluckysquire.

All Possible Futures, a small independent studio, is developing the Plucky Squire. James Turner, an artist director and designer best known for his work with Pokemon games, co-founded the small studio. Turner is well-known for his imaginative and colorful art style, which can be seen in The Squire’s Plucky Show.

The Plucky squirrel combines multiple art forms. The trailer opens with an announcement trailer that shows the game in a 3D-dungeon crawler similar to the classic The Legend of Zelda games. Jot, the main character, may leap out of the book that they are confined to in order to explore the 3D world inside someone’s room. Apart from the perspective from the top, the trailer shows Jot’s ability to change between 2D and 3D at will. This is similar to a fictional world game such as The Legend of Zelda: ALink Between Worlds.

We had a great time at @apossf.
