Call of Duty pros already have Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in their hands and are optimistic about the future of this series. Call of Duty: Vanguard was last year’s entry and felt like a major step back in the series. It did not look like it rewrote elements from previous entries. Instead, it was a bit scarletty, lacking innovation and more. Despite its dominance on the annual sales charts, Activision was disappointed with the Varanguard sales and seems to prefer that show. Infinity Ward, however, could do that and bring a little more life to the series.
Call of Duty, Modern Warfare, and Civil War pros have been invited to play in May. Infinity Ward will be playing the game for at most one year. This is likely to allow them to share their opinions on what’s good, what’s not, and what needs to change. Call of Duty fans were shocked to hear that rumors suggest they won’t release a new game until 2023. Activision has not confirmed the move, but it would mark the first time Call of Duty skips a year since releasing a brand-new game in nearly 20 years. Infinity Ward will feel even more pressure to make sure its game is solid, since it won’t have to keep players on the site for over twelve months.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is a hot topic right now. Infinity Ward released the artwork for the game recently, teasing the members of the newly formed task force 141. However, the plot details remain a mystery. The trailer also suggested that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II would be revealed on June 8, 2022.
