Daredevil: Disney+ is said to be working on a new series

After a brief appearance in Spider-Man 2: No Way Home, it was only a matter time before Matt Murdock, lawyer and his alter ego Daredevil, celebrated his entry to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to Variety exclusively, Disney is currently working on a series that will be based on the Marvel character. A statement from Marvel Studios is still in the works.

Daredevil Disney+ is said to be working on a new series

According to the report Chris Ord and Matt Corman, Covert Affairs creators, have been hired to executive produce and write the project. Charlie Cox, an actor, is also reported to be wearing the Daredevil costume once again.

Rumours of a new Daredevil series have been circulating for some time. These rumors were rekindled by Vincent D’Onofrio’s appearance in Hawkeye as crime boss Wilson Visk, aka Kingpin. Charlie Cox also made a brief appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home as Matt Murdock, an attorney. Both actors also played this role in Netflix’s Daredevil series.

Between 2015 and 2019, Daredevil was followed by series about Jessica Jones (Krysten Ratter), Luke Cage(Mike Colter), and Iron Fist. These characters then joined forces in The Defenders. Jon Bernthal produced another series called The Punisher. The characters could not appear in any other productions for two years following the cancellation of the series. This was due to a clause in the original contract between Netflix and Marvel. This deadline was already past in 2021, so the series should soon be available on Disney+.
