Games for Change, a nonprofit that uses games to create social impact, has announced the winners of its annual G4C Awards.
As part of the first hybrid Games for Change Festival (from 13:30 to 15:45), the 19th annual Games for Change Awards, will be streamed live from 1:50 to 1:50 Pacific Time on July 15.
This year’s award is the most competitive and international in festival history. There were more than 400 entries across nine categories: Best Gameplay; Best Innovative, Most Significant Impact; Best Learning Game; Best Student Game; Best Civics Game; Best Narrative Game and Best XR to Change.
Susanna Pollack (president of Games for Change) stated that the Games for Change award program has grown to be a global event that attracts some of the most innovative and creative games and XR experiences for learning and health. The games for change have received hundreds of amazing games and XR experiences this year. It is an honor to share with you the 28 finalists from one hundred fifty different countries. This will demonstrate how games and R&Ds can make a real difference in the world.
The game was reviewed by 125 experts, game developers and researchers who then selected the finalist. Two sets of game entries were submitted by students and indie developers.
