Series adaptation for Netflix in development

Horizon Zero Dawn will soon be available on TV screens as another popular PlayStation title. At an investor conference, Sony announced that they are currently working on a series adaptation for Netflix. Although there isn’t yet a streaming service or broadcaster, the Gran Turismo car racing game is being adapted.

Horizon Zero Dawn

Horizon Zero Dawn was published in 2017 and tells Aloy’s story. In a post-apocalyptic future, giant robots that resemble dinosaurs and animals populate the Earth. Aloy is an outsider from her tribe. However, one day she will be able to fight in a ritual that will be restored. Aloy is forced to embark on a journey by mysterious cultists who are trying to destroy the ritual.

The Horizon Zero Dawn adaptation of the movie is just one of many adaptations that Sony Productions, PlayStation Productions, is currently working on. In development are series adaptations of God of War on Amazon. The Last of Us on HBO, and Twisted Metal together with Anthony Mackie. The film adaptation of Ghost of Tsushima has also been in development.
