New Apex Legends cinematic gives us a glimpse of Lifeline’s backstory, and Octane’s face

Lifeline isn’t as loved as the rest of the cast of Apex Legends. They aren’t good, but they are one of the original cast.

There is some hope, however, for the faithful support. We have a new Stories from the Outlands filmtic. Octane and her childhood friend Octane go on a drug heist, overcome parental expectations, and dodge bullets and explosions. Fun stuff.

You would expect to find deep dives into the character motivations for joining the Apex Games. There would also be an entertaining show for anyone and everyone interested in the narrative threads that weave between comics, battle royales, and other bits of lore scattered across the internet. You may be surprised to see Octane’s first-ever face.

As you can see, this was a hit with the Apex community. Many were divided between a general feeling of surprise at the unusually masked contestant, and shock at how strangely handsome he turned behind his mask and goggles. This, along with the fact that he was able to show off his natural legs rather than using prosthetics, made him a popular star on the show.

It’s ironic that Lifeline, one the most memorable and popular characters in Apex Legends, got so much attention in their own cinematic. Absolutely. Is that a detriment to the overall quality of cinematic? No! However, Lifeline made a strong impression and maybe she will get more time in the future.
