Onryo | 怨霊 100% Achievement Guide

Complete Guide to All Achievements in Onryo, including all 7 Gachapons and both Endings

Introduction

How to Use this Guide

This guide will split the achievements into two runs to maximize completion. A minimum two playthroughs are required to complete 100%. However, the second run will take less time because you will not have to collect all the collectibles.

I recommend that you find all Notes and Gachapons during the first run, along with the Magatama or Secret Item. This will get rid of all the tedious collecting achievements so that the second run can be just a quick cleanup.

The guide will break down achievements according to achievement. This makes it easy to follow the story from beginning to end. Because the map allows for free roaming and there are no missed areas, collectibles can be grouped by achievement. You can return to the boss door and complete any missing collectibles once you have reached it. You can’t return to the beginning if you don’t use the

General Tips

To remove the item, press “Q”. It will remain where you left it indefinitely.

The Storage Keys can only be used once.

You can use the Bathroom Key multiple times.

Bolt cutters are used three times.

Once the Cavern is cleared, the Crests must be removed from the Cavern.

The Cavern holds the Oonusa Divine Tools and Secret Key. These crests can then be used to unlock the burial chamber beyond the Hair Doors.

You can find the Stepladder on your first floor and use it to climb up into the ceiling to reach the second floor. Next, you can use the crank arm to open the staircases back to the first level. This allows the Stepladder, which is required for achievement and key progression, to be used in the square hole area on the second floor.

Next, the Crank- and Boltcutters are used to uncover secret areas to recover 2 Crests aswell as 3 Plates. These are then brought back to the stands in kitchen to unlock final Crest.

The Crank also opens grates to the Cavern and the Saferoom with the ghost-boy on the first floor.

Only one use of the Scissors is required to remove hair from the double doors at the top floor.

While the spirit in the haysuit with the machete can be overcome, the tall spirit who wields the pitchfork and is taller must be avoided by entering any room other than the square pit or hair rooms. However, he can swing into rooms so be sure to move out of his way and avoid small rooms like the bathrooms.

All Gachapons must be collected

As of Version 1.25, there are 7 Gachapons spread throughout the game. All 7 Gachapons must be turned in to the Ghost Boy in the Saferoom on the first floor. To track the number of Gachapons still missing, I recommend storing them in the same room as the boy. Then, turn in all 7 at once. To achieve the ending, you will need to turn 7 of them in before initiating the final fight.

First Floor

Shiotan Gachapon

The large room is entered by the bookshelf that runs across the entrance. To the left of the doorway to the hall, you will find the Gachapon in the second drawer at the bottom.

KaniKamaboko gachapon

The second kimono room is located in the closet to your right.

AustinLee Gachapon

The series of rooms that lie behind the double locks with hair are located at the bottom of the closet, just past the chained cupboard.

Second Floor

Gachapon for Japanese Characters

You will find the first room on bottom shelf of drawer after you have climbed the Stepladder to second floor.

Minei Gachapon

The Wall Picture item is in the closet, on top the display case.

Rabi Gachapon

The room is located just adjacent to the staircase. It’s in the closet directly across from the entry.

Cave Area

Gachman Gachapon

Behind the stone Crest corresponds to Crest B, the second entrance in the Cave area.

Magatama

Use a Magatama

The Magatama can be found in the middle of the square hole, in a large area on the second floor. To descend, use the Stepladder that you found on the first floor. It does not take up any inventory slots. The Magatama will be used to fight the final boss, as described in the Master Exorcist achievement.

Secret Item

The Secret Item

The Secret Key and the Magatama are required.

For the final boss fight, ensure that you have the Secret Key in your inventory. The Magatama will be required to be equipped. However, this will not take up any inventory slots. Allow the Motherto to kill you during the final boss fight. You will be revived in a Saferoom by the Magatama. The key will unlock the red sliding Saferoom doors.

The bug will make it appear that the door is closed. After the key is gone from your inventory, you can walk in the door and try to open it. You can try both sides, but choose the one that doesn’t make the “locked sound”. You should eventually be able pass into the next room. The Antique Lens is located at the far end.

Secret Key

The Secret Key is located high up in the large tree at the Cave’s center.

Expert Exorcist

Get rid 10 Times of your Daughters

Randomly, the room in which you are currently locked will lock and a ghost will appear. To kill it, you must get out. You can do this by using your camera to snap a picture of the red flashing object. These battles can be fought ten times. You must do this in one session, or at least in one go. Although it is not confirmed that this is a difficult requirement, some players reported that they were unable to close the game or reset the count. This should be done in your first playthrough. If you collect all Gachapons/Notes, you will spend a lot more time in rooms.

The random chance that the Daughters will spawn is a check against an unknown time period whenever you are in a nonsaferoom. They can spawn immediately after you enter, or at any time before you leave. If the exit is locked you will be in an encounter with them and have to kill them. You may see one or two spawning, each of which will require 3 hits to banish.

Master Exorcist

Destroy the Mother

You can beat the final boss by exorcising Mother. Similar process for the Daughters, except that you use the camera whenever she flashes red.

Turn in the Gachapons before you start the fight. You must let her kill you. You must have the Magatama or the Secret Key with you to kill her. Once she does, you will be taken into a saferoom where you can retrieve your Antique Lens. After you have left the Saferoom, you’ll be back at the boss area for round 2. You must then kill her.

You can get a bit tricky with her because the camera uses your health to flash the flash. This can lead to your health being reduced to the point that you are unable to fire the camera. You’ll be hit again if your health reaches the maximum limit for the camera. You can try to kite her around obstacles to make sure she doesn’t get stuck. This will allow you to recharge your batteries and aim. Avoiding this situation is the easiest thing. She will often spawn within you and hit you immediately.

Ending 2

Enduring 2

You will reach the end of the story if you give the boy all 7 Gachapons and defeat the Mother.

Playthrough 2

As we can skip most collectibles, this will make it much quicker to complete.

This will be the final playthrough.
