The sim racing facility has 300000 invested by World Pro Racing

World Pro Racing will open a facility to develop and train drivers, as well as host sim racing events in person. A release stated that 300,000 was invested in the facility, which will offer aspiring racers the opportunity to train in a professional setting. The facility can be used by sim racing bootcamps that are organised internationally once global travel restrictions have been lifted.

International sim racing events will be held at the facility in Malta. The Pandemic’s changing nature has meant that plans to host sim racing events at the facility in 2021 were canceled. Sim racers will have the chance to practice and race at the facility, but the event organizer also announced that the program will offer university students the chance to work in the industry through a summer internship program.

To showcase the many job opportunities in the industry, the programme will be open to more students over the next few years. World Pro Racing and the Maltas Centre for Sports Excellence have signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The agreement also includes a partnership with an educational consultant to help with sim racing.

Sim racing has seen a significant increase in popularity over the last 18 months. Interest is still high. World Pro Racing’s new facility will be a boon for both the local sim racing scene and the international community. Subscribe to our Dispatch Newsletter.
