How to transfer Minecraft Worlds from one device to another – using a Realm method

This method requires you to have an active Minecraft Realm.

 

These are the steps for transferring your world to a Realm.

  1. Click the pen icon to the right of your Realm in the Realms List.
  2. Click on Replace World to confirm.
  3. Select the world that you wish to change.
  4. Wait for the upload to complete, then click Let’s Go!
  5. Start Minecraft on the second device. Click the pen icon beside your Realm in the Realms section.
  6. Click to Download the World
  7. Wait for the file to download, then click “Let’s go!”

How to transfer Minecraft Worlds to another device – iOS iCloud method

These are the steps you need to take in order to transfer your entire world with an Apple iPad.

  1. Open the Files app from the old iPad.
  2. Tap on My iPad under Browse
  3. Tap Minecraft
  4. Tap the Games folder.
  5. Next, tap the com.mojang file.
  6. Find the file called minecraftWorlds. It contains all of your worlds.
  7. To open the menu, press and hold.
  8. Click Save to Files.
  9. Find your iCloud drive, and save the file to the iCloud Drive folders you wish to store it.
  10. Click Save
  11. Open the Files app on your iPad
  12. Go to iCloud Drive from the Browse screen
  13. Tap the folder in which you saved the minecraftWorlds file
  14. Hold the minecraftWorlds folder in your hand and press the menu button.
  15. Click Copy
  16. Tap iCloud Drive in the top right corner next to Downloads
  17. Tap the top for locations
  18. The main Browse menu should now be open.
  19. Tap on My iPad
  20. Tap Minecraft
  21. Next, tap Games
  22. Tap Mojang
  23. Click in the empty space on the next screen
  24. Press and hold to bring the menu up
  25. Copy and Paste
  26. Tap Replace
