Locating the Key of Admittance
To find the Key of Admittance, you’ll need to complete Niamh’s Trial. Once you’ve completed the task, head over to the Headmaster’s Office. You’ll be able to explore the office and find the key in the hidden sitting room tower. Alternatively, you can fly your broom to the outer balcony to reach the tower. But don’t forget, you’ll need to have Alohomora fully maxed out to open the door and retrieve the key.
Using the Key of Admittance
After you have the key, leave the Headmaster’s Office and head down the spiral stairs until you reach the hallway with many stone statues. At the opposite end of the hallway, you’ll see a peculiar-looking door with a metal lock. This is where you’ll use the Key of Admittance.
Insert the key into the lock, and the door will open to reveal a legendary chest under the stairs. Additionally, there are some hidden goodies up the staircase in a little room. Be sure to check your Challenges menu as this is also one of the Hogwarts Secrets, and completing it will reward you with extra bonuses.
