Celtic and Rangers have been confirmed as FIFA partner clubs

EA Sports has announced that Celtic Football Club and The Rangers Football Club have joined as members of FIFA. FIFA series.

The four-year agreement will see both clubs will be able to scan their players using realistic images of the game.

It is likely that both of their stadiums will be included in future editions of the game, but only the Rangers have confirmed this to date.

If Celtic Park will be added to the future game it would be the first time the stadium has been featured in a FIFA game.

The only time that Ranger’s venue, Ibrox, has appeared in Ibrox’s appearance in a FIFA game was FIFA 99, where it was simply named “Glasgow”.

Celtic and Rangers have both been partner clubs of Konami’s Pro Evolution Football series, later renamed eFootball, since 2018.

Both clubs saw their stadiums added to Konami’s titles, and players on the squad at the time had face scans.

Both teams registered as partner clubs to the upcoming FIFA and football’s rival UFL However, both logos have gone from the Partner Clubs section on the website it appears that the FIFA agreement has replaced the UFL.

Both clubs are part of the FIFA series, but the vast majority of players have generic faces and both teams play in an imaginary stadium known as Eastpoint Arena.

The stadium is also featured in tweets that announce the partnership which suggests Celtic Park (if it’s to be added) and Ibrox are still far away and probably won’t be completed before the launch of FIFA 23.

We are thrilled to announce our long-term relationship in partnership with EA Sports, the leading company in its field.” the Celtic director of commercial Adrian Filby said.

“Celtic’s influence is globally-focused and we’re thrilled to work with an organization with such reputation and quality. It is also known worldwide as a market leader.

“We are aware that thousands of our supporters are extremely enthused by EA Sports and FIFA 23 already. We’re sure that this partnership will prove immensely beneficial to our club as well as our fans.”

Rangers marketing and commercial director James Bisgrove said in a separate statement: “This is a truly exciting partnership for the club, and I think it speaks volumes for the standing Rangers has on the international stage that such a recognizable brand like EA Sports FIFA was so eager to enter into a partnership with the club.”

“The world of esports is growing at unprecedented levels, and this partnership will allow us to fully enter this space with a meaningful strategy and strong partner in the sector.”
