Emilio “Geometrics” Leynez has officially resigned from TSM’s Rainbow 6 roster.
TSM FTX, a popular eSports org, has announced today that they are parting ways with one of the most recognizable champions in the Rainbow 6 scene. This is one of the largest losses for TSMFTX, but no explanation has been given. Here is the official statement from TSM FTX’s feed:

Emilio “Geometrics” Leynez has been a champion in Rainbow 6eSports and he continues providing great representation for fellow Mexican gamers in this industry.
TSM FTX published a short, one-minute montage to celebrate Geometrics’ greatest highlights. They also thanked Emilio, for his many contributions. The end appears to have been on good terms. Geometrics has not yet responded.
TSM FTX seems like it has been going through a lot lately. Geometrics is loved by many and his departure could have serious consequences for future tournaments. Esports organizations rely heavily on the loyalty of their players, especially if they are friendly and win a lot. Fans were immediately upset by the decision.
TSM FTX has a plan in place to bring in talent who can also make a name for their team. Team Liquid, a competitor, recently left Siggy. They have since hired a new coach and are now back on their feet. There are always opportunities for major changes, even if they are disappointing.

Rainbow 6 remains a staple in the shooter genre. Extractionreceived some mixed reviews from purists but the franchise continues its success. The update to “Operation Brutal Swarm”, which introduced a new Attacker Rainbow6, has received a lot of praise and attention.
