One Elden Ring fan, a plucky Elden Ring enthusiast, has conquered Margit the Fell Omen using a harp. The feat has been uploaded to YouTube by Harpist Anna Ellsworth (opens in new window) . Ellsworth manages to overcome Margit’s attacks, and heals through any minor injuries they take. Even more impressive is the fact that they defeated the Fell Omen with no in-game armor. This is a powerful move, but it makes you more agile. How do you play Elden Ring on a harp. Ellsworth explains. The musical instrument is connected to the computer and run through two programs. One detects pitch and converts them into MIDI, and the other takes that sound and binds to a keystroke. Ellsworth can then pick certain strings to move forward, backwards, left or right indefinitely, until another direction is input, or the movement is cancelled. But things get complicated. They say that “the problem is that my control with this setup is limited” (opens in new window). “Like I can’t sprint at any time and because moving in a different direction and dodging are separate strings (and only one can be recognized at a given moment), my strategy is to just walk forward and dodge into the attacks. It is not always reliable. At one, 55% of PC gamers defeated him. PlayStation players did slightly better with 64%. Margit is not the first Elden Ring boss to be defeated by Ellsworth, although it is impressive.
