Fast & Furious has a theme other than wild action scenes. It’s the family. As a new cast commitment confirms, there is little to be changed in the tenth installment of the series. Vin Diesel announced via Instagram that Rita Moreno joined the film’s cast. Moreno, who starred in the sitcom one day at a time, will play Dom Toretto’s grandmother.
Fast & Furious 10 will be a two-part series which will conclude Universal’s action series. Fans can look forward to Vin Diesel’s return, as well as regular cast members Tyrese, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster. Brie Larson and Jason Momoa are also new members of the cast. Daniela Melchior is also new.
Louis Leterrier is responsible for staging. Due to creative differences, the original director quit the project soon after filming started. The producers resorted to Chris Morgan for the screenplay. After the ninth episode, the regular author took a break and wrote the spinoff Hobbs & Shaw instead. He’s back for the final.
Fast & Furious will be in theaters May 2023.
