GTA 5 players hosted a massive funeral for Takeoff, a Migos rapper, in the Rockstar sandbox GTA Online. This was after the musician from ‘Motorsport,’ and ‘Stir Fry, who had previously collaborated with Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, and Cardi B.

GTA Online players were asked to wear all-white suits for the initial service at the church dedicated to Takeoff. After that, they would change into all black and go to a “house party”. GTA 5 players were given a dispatch that read, “Tonight we laid Takeoff down to rest.” Follow the street law. No crashing. Get out in your best car.

One player drove a white hearse and led a procession made up of other Grand Theft Auto fans and Takeoff enthusiasts in their own white vehicles. After a brief service, players used the “make It rain” emote and fired their weapons into high air in memory of the rapper.

Takeoff, real name Kirsnick Khari, was shot and killed in Houston, Texas on November 1. The rapper’s co-worker on “What You See”, Justin Bieber will perform at a public memorial service.

One GTA 5 fan wrote, “I’m 60 years of age, and I have been playing video games all my lives,” in response to the online funeral. “Damn good job putting it together, showing love,” wrote another. The fireworks made me weep. You are very creative. We are grateful.

Takeoff was part of the hip-hop trio Migos. This group also included their uncle Quavo and first cousin, Offset. Takeoff had several top-ten hits and was nominated twice for Grammys. Takeoff and Quavo released the album ‘Only Built For Infinity Links’ on October 7. Beyonce and Kid Cudi shared condolences via social media. Takeoff received a private funeral on November 5.
