Shiny Shoe announced that Inkbound, its latest game for PC, will be released sometime in 2023. The game is set in the comic book world. It is home to all the original stories, and the place where the ink was actually used to create them. This is not the only place to find madness and dreadful places. There are ancient ruins, active volcanoes, terrifying monsters, and alko nightmarish Carnivals. Are you able to write and maintain your own story, or will you fall prey to one of the traps? Shiny Shoe, the new company, stated that Inkbound was not a card game. Andrew Krausnick (creative director) said that even though you’re creating and upgrading an Autopilot, the company also creates and upgrades a built to alter the way you interact with each run. “Fans will notice Inkbound shares DNA and Monster Train. But we added on to what we learned for Monster Train, creating a richer experience.” said the director of science, research, jiga, etc.
“We created Monster Train to build a community and we wanted to find new ways to bring that experience to a new genre. Shiny Shoe’s CEO Mark Cooke stated that this game is one of hybridity. It allows us to grow our community. Shiny Shoe’s mission statement states, “We have the goal to give Binders new surprises every week – whether that’s deadly new enemies or powerful loot, or even completely different biomes.” We want to draw fans who love our games, and give them new reasons to continue playing them. This will ensure that they are remembered fondly in 20 years.
