Kaiju No. 8 anime adaptation will start airing shortly according to TOHO animations.
TOHO animation announced today that an anime adaptation of the Science Fantasy manga, Kaiju No. 8 is in the making!
Kaiju No. 8 or Monster No. 8 is a Japanese manga series illustrated and written by Naoya Matsumoto. On the 3rd July of 2020, the manga series was released for the first time by Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ mobile application and website. At present, Shonen Jump has collected Kaiju No. 8. The chapters have been divided into 7 distinct volumes. Since August 2020, Kaiju No. 8 will be released of a new chapter every three weeks for a period of time, which is then a break of one week.
In Kaiju No. 8, the grotesque creatures known by the name of Kaiju have been inflicting terror on Japan and Japan is the most powerful country in terms of the amount of Kaiju incidents. A prestigious military organization called Defense Corps was formed to battle Kaijus. A different group, referred to as “sweepers”, works under the umbrella of the Professional Kaiju Cleaner Corporation and is responsible for clearing the remains of the defeated Kaijus. The main character, Kafka Hibino, is a sweeper of Kaiju remains. He is tired and unhappy in his job and has wanted to join the Defense Corps. However, numerous unsuccessful efforts made by Kafka for enlisting in the Defense Corps have led him to give up his dream. In the meantime, a feisty recruit known as Leno Ichikawa is joining Kafka as a member of the cleaning crew.
Kaiju have been attacking Japan
In Kaiju No. 8, the grotesque creatures known by the name of Kaiju have been attacking Japan and Japan is the most powerful country in terms of the amount of Kaiju incidents. A different unit, called “sweepers”, works under the umbrella of the Professional Kaiju Cleaner Corporation and is charged with cleaning the remains of fallen Kaijus. The main character, Kafka Hibino, is a sweeper of Kaiju remains, who is tired and unhappy working in the field and wanted to join the Defense Corps. However, numerous unsuccessful efforts of Kafka in his quest to be a part of the Defense Corps have led him to give up his dream. A new recruit known as Leno Ichikawa is joining Kafka as a member of the cleaning crew.
In the midst of their work, Kafka, as well as Leno, were performing their tasks while they were working, Kafka and Leno were doing their job, and a Kaiju tried at attacking Leno. Luckily, Kafka was able to keep Leno from being attacked. Kaiju from devouring Leno. Following a series of tragic circumstances, Kafka and Leno was transported to the medical facility. In the hospital, Kafka met a parasite-type Kaiju that pushed its way into his mouth and turned Kafka into a humanoid creature. When Kafka acquired a new power and wanted to achieve his dream of becoming a member of his fellow members of the Defense Corps once again.
TOHO animation, a well-known distributor for the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie, has announced that the animated adaptation of Kaiju No. 8 will start airing in the near future. A teaser for the announcement has been uploaded on the TOHO animations YouTube Channel. The teaser features the world in monochrome Japan and also includes possible dialogs from anime as well as an exciting soundtrack.
