Necrosmith – Beating the End Game

This is a quick guide on how to beat the final level of the game.

Preparation for Early Game & Tips

  • Many players recommend that you play defensively with a Turtling or similar AoE and let other mobs clear your map. You can play offensively with one mob instead. Once you have gotten rid of them, enemy bases will start spawning. You can play with one mob to control which bases are activated, and get rid of them before they start spawning endless waves. You can also enjoy the map rather than just hovering over the base.
  • To get a feel for the game and collect gold, play the game a few times. To steamroll later, you will need to buy a few gold upgrades. You can start to master some early game recipes like vampire.
  • Don’t travel too far at once. Although the necrosmith map can be divided into several biomes, they eventually form rings around a black tower. Each ring that is afar from the tower has more powerful enemies. To accumulate gold and body pieces, clear the biomes ring-by-ring
  • Upgrade your cat house, assembly line or other areas. As long as the cat doesn’t bother the enemy, you can allow it to run a few times before you start.
  • The assembly line will eventually give golems. A steam gun golem, on the other hand, will allow you to steam roll the first few biomes rings. Keep using this until you’ve accumulated more gold or found a better recipe.
  • Now you will want to maximize the assembly line, cathouse and blueprint decoder.
  • After you do this, you will receive a few mechanical parts per day. Send the cat out a few more times on a new run to collect parts until you are able to make a mechanoid stormtrooper.
  • The mechanoid Stormtrooper can always be used until you find a better recipe. You can use the stormtrooper for clearing each ring of biomes. However, keep in mind that you will need to upgrade the Black tower to get mob upgrades (Damage and Armor, etc.). So you can push towards the higher rings. This mob will overwhelm you if you try to enter the last endgame circle. Also, be cautious when entering the second or third last rings. Instead, focus on your damage and armor (hp as well as recovery as possible*) and looking for parts to build your next build.
  • You could work with illicid or draconid build to be good candidates.

The Endgame is Coming!

  • I found this build to be quite effective in dealing with the last ring of enemies after a lot of trial and error. This is what you should be working towards. The draconid’s body is very effective against bases (try standing on one to see if it does the job). Angel Head and the Illicid Staff provide excellent AoE against enemies trying to escape. Avoid running into enemies at the end of the game. They can still kill or injure you.
  • You can start clearing the entire map by using the build above. I prefer to clear the 2nd and last rings first. You can then spawn an army of draconids that should be able speed up clearing any remaining obstacles.
  • Clearing a whole map takes time. It takes about 1-2 hours to complete a map. If you don’t have patience, you will be dead and need to start again.
  • Once the map has been cleared, all your spawned mobs return to the Black Tower. They will not leave because there is nothing to collect/kill. You will then have all of your relics, cleared all alien spaceships, and been able to build the “return” cabin. DO NOT BUILD THIS RIGHT AWAY. Pressing on create immediately will start the endgame wave. You will not survive.

The Endgame:

The Cabin for ‘The Return’

  • You will be awarded the final achievement in Necrosmith by pressing on create, but you will lose the game if you are not prepared.
  • After pressing the button, your base will become surrounded by several bases from the final circle of the map. They will immediately attack your black tower base. An in-game timer will also start at the same time you must survive.
  • Before you press the button, make sure you’re back at your base and then create your defensive army.
  • This bit is best done with Terminators and Draconids. You will need to use the maximum 15 pop cap.
  • You should also keep an extra 10000-15000 mana in your inventory to respawn mobs after your first set of enemies dies.
  • Once you are ready, press the button to immediately rush any enemy bases that have just spawned. Pay attention to the bases only and do not die. To fend off base spawns, move from one base to the next and respawn any mobs that die.
  • You should be able neutralise all enemies and bases if you do your job correctly.
  • Cue the end of the game credits once the timer has ended.
