Nightingale gameplay trailer shows off survival game’s realm cards

FPS Survival game Nightingale showcased its realm cards system at Summer Game Fest with a new gameplay trailer. Players can craft and use various cards to open portals. However, they will also need to take on large, destructive monsters in the crafting system.

“You’re all alone in the realms, my fear – the portals a mess. It’s not even clear if Nightingale made the trip.” This is the trailer’s voiceover. It explains how players can use rare resources for realm cards that can then be used in opening portals to the “inter-realmic void”. Card selection can also be used to affect your destination.

Open world gameplay is shown in the trailer. The character takes potshots at bears and spiders while hunting, building fires, crafting to survive. The trailer ends with the player clicking their fingers and holding a pocketwatch. Next, they pan to a creepy shot of an ornate skull-faced statue.
