Rawkus to replace SicK for the remainder of Stage Two

Sentinels have announced that Hunter SicK Mims will be taking a long leave to address family issues. Shane Rawkus Flaherty will be his replacement for the second half VALORANT Champions Tour North America.

The “SicK” Mims will extend the leave of absence to allow them to focus on family matters. SicK is there for you in these difficult times. Coach Rawkus will cover the rest of Challengers.

The Sentinels started the year 2022 with the goal of regaining their hard-fought victory at the end. They did not qualify for the Champions playoffs final.

Sentinels were invited to the VCT’s first stage, the group stage. They finished with a 32 record after finishing. They were awarded a place in the playoffs because of that record. They managed to make it through the postseason and lost their first match against Version one and The Guard.

The Sentinels had to move their roster within a year in order to complete Stage Two. Jared zombs Gitlin, the founding member, was replaced by Eric Kanpeki Xu. The second quarter’s open qualifier, which was held from April 29 to May 2, saw Sentinels lose their first qualifying points, but they are still able to qualify as groups.

From the 6th to 9th of may, the second open qualifier saw Sentinels again face a wall with their backs. They won five matches consecutively to reach the group stage after losing to Akrew.

Although it was not an easy task, the Sentinels team managed to accomplish this feat.

Sentinels are now out of the group with 3 losses – Luminosity Evil Geniuses, and OpTic. They must now play Cloud9 and FaZe in order to qualify for the VALORANT playoffs. They’ll have to do it without SicK.
