Star Trek: Strange New Worlds – Series intro and new clip released

In the lead-up to the beginning in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds this week, Paramount+ has already unveiled the first credits of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, the upcoming series. The same time the first footage from the pilot episode, which will air on the US on May 5th is also available.

The show follows the events from Season Two of Star Trek: Discovery and is focused upon Captain Pike and his return to the bridge of the Enterprise. Along with his ship, Pike embarks on a journey to discover new planets and learn about other cultures.

Alongside Anson Mount playing Christopher Pike, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds also brings together Ethan Peck as Spock and Rebecca Romijn as Una Chin-Riley and Number 1 and Celia Rose Gooding in the series. The other actors include Jess Bush as Chapel, Babs Olusanmokun as M’Benga Christina Chong as La’an and Melissa Navia as Ortegas.

In Germany the viewers will have to wait a bit before they get an overview of the show. In Germany, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will likely only be available once Paramount + itself has started. However, as of now there’s been no specific date set for this which means that a release within the first half of the year seems more and more unlikely.
