There is a breakdown of Esports Viewership in June 2021

Esports Charts collaborates with them to highlight the top trends in the industry every month. Five games occupied the top spot in the peak viewership table. Are mobile titles going to lose their top spot ever?

The June viewership figures have once again highlighted the popularity of mobile esports. The peak audience for the MLBB Southeast Asia Cup finale was 2.24 million. On average, the event attracted more than 500,000 viewers an hour.

A mobile title has been the first to air every month since January 2021 for peak viewers. The popularity of the title in the monthly charts highlights its popularity in Southeast Asia. PUBG Mobile and Free Fire are free-to-play, but League of Legends has the most popular competitor.

MSI 2021 was unable to claim the top spot due to a record-breaking peak viewing figure by Free Fire. It is not known that League of Legends has a large following in China, as they are not included in the chart. It will be fascinating to see how global events like the League of Legends World Championship of PGLs compare to mobile competitors.

The title Korean league continues to be a prominent part of the charts, ranking second at 720,337. Despite this, the LCKs audience continues to fall behind other splits. LCK 2021 Summer Split averaged 187,076 viewers. This is more than 40,000 less viewers than Spring 2021.

LCK is slightly behind Summer 2020 but is expected to surpass 2020’s peak viewership of 823 597. LCK’s popularity is due to the performance of SKT, which is one the most popular teams in league. The Korean organization has been in the top five most-viewed matches thus far.

The splits final between Damwon and Gen.G only saw 616,911 viewers at peak. This was likely due to the series’ failure to reach the finals. In Spring 2021, the series was ranked fourth behind three games. The Summer 2021 split will be evaluated over time.

While the playoffs will determine where this split falls in the end, finishing second in the month will always be considered a positive sign. The peak viewers table ranked the Call of Duty: Warzone events third and fourth. With a peak viewership of 407,594, the Call of Duty World Series of Warzone NA 1 topped the english language chart in June.

This is better than LCS Summer 2021. The fifth most viewed event on the platform is Rivals Call of Duty Warzone. With a peak audience exceeding 600,000., the VALORANT series is the most watched on the platform.

WePlay Animajor has the fifth highest peak viewer. The success of WePlay Animajor and ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021 have provided some reassurance to the title. There is a feeling of optimism in comparison to 2020 that the upcoming TI 10 will surpass the record figure at The International 2019.

In 2020, the event was cancelled. What can we expect from July’s remaining events? The majority of July events have already begun or ended, so it is easy to predict which title will be most popular.

As the League of Legends regional events reach their conclusion, all eyes will be on them as they rise in the ratings. Many viewers could be attracted to the Free Fires Brazillian event. Subscribe to the YouTube video.
