NBA 2K23 MyTeam removes contracts and improves classic modes

NBA 2K23 MyTeam will finally eliminate the requirement for contracts and will enhance fan-favorite modes.

The most notable change is that contracts for consumable items, which were necessary in order to play players, were taken away.

“We’ve implemented a number of highly requested changes to MyTeam this year that were top of mind for our community, including the removal of contracts, along with the addition of Triple Threat Online: Co-Op that allows players to team up with friends for the first time ever to test their skills in Co-Op 3v3 online gameplay” The announcement was made by Erick Boenisch, the VP for NBA Development at 2K as well as Visual Concepts.

Triple Threat lets players take part in pickup games played on courts that are smaller, using three of their top players. The Party Mode, Co-Op, and Competitive Online are all set to join the mode that has played out with players winning matches to advance to the next level of a reward ladder.

A $250.000 MyTeam Unlimited Tournament also returns this year, for every console generation. Participants must be in at least the Emerald Tier in the new Unlimited prior to the first GameDay on October 15th to be eligible to participate. Finalists will be taken to an event in person to be crowned winners of the $50K Console Champion as well as the $150,000 Grand Champions.

NBA 2K23 also comes with as well the Jordan Challenge, in honor of the star of the cover in the special edition of this game.

The game mode offers 15 of the most memorable moments of Michael Jordan’s career that allow players to revisit his story, beginning with his first days as a college star to his winning shot in his 1999 NBA Finals.
