To celebrate today’s Star Wars Day, Disney+ and Lucasfilm have unveiled an official trailer of Obi-Wan Kenobi . The trailer offers plenty of new perspectives and provides a glimpse of Darth Vader.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is set ten years following what happened in Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith . Obi-Wan Kenobi was the protagonist who suffered the most devastating loss, the demise and retribution of his most trusted companion along with his Jedi student Anakin Skywalker, who reverted into the darkness and became the villainous Sith the Lord Darth Vader.
In in addition, Ewan McGregor, and Hayden Christensen, who are returning to their roles as Obi Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker. Moses Ingram ( The Queen’s Gabit ), Joel Edgerton ( It Comes At Night ), Bonnie Piesse ( Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones ), Kumail Nanjiani ( Silicon Valley ) Indira Varma ( Game of Thrones ), Rupert Friend ( Hitman 47 ), O’Shea Jackson Jr. ( Swagger ), Sung Kang ( Fast & Furious ), Simone Kessell ( Wonderland ) and Benny Safdie to the actors of the Star Wars series.
Deborah Chow is on board as director. Chow has previously been the director of two in The Mandalorian and is also well-known for her work on series like Fear the Walking Dead , Better Call Saul , Mr. Robot , Iron Fist , American Gods and The Man in the High Castle .
Obi-Wan Kenobi launches on Disney+ on May 27th. The season will comprise six episodes.
