The Ultra Unlock Day of Pokemon Go is a huge opportunity to recapture Amaura and Tyrunt

The newest Pokemon in Pokemon Go’s Ultra Unlock Research Day today is available for players to catch. The Ultra Unlock Research Day will be open from 11 – 3 p.m. local time. Throughout the week, many of the same Pokemon were seen. The event has a rotating spawn system that allows Amaura and Tyrunt to appear in wild at 11-12 and 1PM to 2PM respectively. These Pokemon were only available as rewards for certain tedious Field Research tasks. During the spawn hours, a special aurora effect can be seen in the sky.

Players should know that Tyrunt and Amaura are rare spawns. Players rarely find Tyrunt or Amaura in the wild. Therefore, players will want to visit a location where there are many Pokemon to catch them.

Field Research tasks can also be collected from Poke Stops and gyms by players during the Ultra Unlock. This quest will reward players with Shieldon and Cranidos encounters. Both Pokemon will also have an increased Shiny rate during this event. According to anecdotal evidence, about half of the 10 players who attempted to locate Shiny Cranidos or Shiny Shieldon in the event failed. This is despite only doing a limited amount of field research. To receive the Shieldon and Cranidos rewards, you must complete all tasks. It’s called a research day.

Pokemon Go’s Ultra Unlock Research Day takes place from 11am to 3pm
